The Dacia has a 1.3 L I4 engine

The Dacia 1300 is a Romanian sedan vehicle in BATTLEGROUNDS.

Summary[edit | edit source]

A 5-speed sedan, it has a higher top speed than the UAZ but at a cost of subpar off-road performance that becomes an issue over bumpy terrain. Care must be taken when driving at high speeds as it is liable to rollovers during hard cornering. The engine also does not have enough power to pull the vehicle up steep hills when stationary, so it is advisable that speed is maintained when driving up hills.

As with other vehicles, gas cans can be used while stationary to refuel, and a horn can be used to get the attention of teammates or anyone else within earshot of the horn. Cruising speed on a level surface tops out at around 105 km/h, however the engine can be boosted for a maximum speed of 131 km/h at the cost of increased fuel consumption. Like most other vehicles, the tires are vulnerable to gunfire and if destroyed, will reduce speed and handling performance.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The car is based on Communist Romania's (Socialist Republic of Romania) licensed Renault 12 (Dacia 1300 1969-1982 model). It was considered rather large in its time, with its 1.4 L normally aspirated four-cylinder engine and its 4 seats. With a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout and either 4-speed or 5-speed manual transmission, it could reach speeds of up to 145 km/h.
  • The Dacia's inclusion in the game is a nod to PLAYERUNKNOWN's fondness for the car show Top Gear with Dacia-branded vehicles featured as one of many running gags in the show, as well a tribute to ARMA II's Lada.
  • The Dacia has a Soviet license plate (т 3132 ОД) registered in Oryol Oblast.
