What is the Gamescom Invitational
80 of some of the game’s best players, online influencers and people in attendance at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany will take place in a variety of competitive modes in the game’s first-ever LAN event. The tournament will run from August 23 to August 26, with $350,000 USD filling up the prize pool. The tournament itself will last four days and will include gameplay modes such as Solo Mode, Duo Mode, Duo First-Person Perspective and Squad Mode. After three matches, the best overall scores will determine the winners of each type.

Where can this event be seen
Coverage of the tournament will go live on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, Mixer, Panda Tv and Twitter at 4 p.m. CEST, meaning it will begin at 10 a.m. EDT each day.

Q: Where do I sign up?
A: Head to; https://play.eslgaming.com/playerunknownsbattlegrounds/europe/pubg/open/gamescom-invitational-2017-registration/ sign in and create a team.
Q: I made a team, but my teammate cannot join the roster to register.
A: The maximum roster size to sign up only supports up to 2 people. Please make sure your teammate is logged in and your roster size did not reach the limit.
Q: I cant sign up with a team, but we have enough people.
A: You may only have 2 players on your roster, more may result in the inability to register.
Q: When does the rating requirement take effect?
A: We will look at the rating and standings after the registration deadline at 18th August.
Q: How old do I have to be to participate?
A: Due to the USK18 rating you need to be at least 18 years old to participate.
Q: How do I register for the FPP and TPP tournament?
A: By default this registration confirms TPP. Upon approval of meeting minimum requirements, an ESL admin will reach out individually for FPP which takes place the following day.
Tournament rules
Allowed
- Content creators can livestream from their own game station/booth.
Not allowed
- All PC's are on 'Textures - High' & 'Foliage - Medium' settings, players/contestants can not change them.
- Crouch jumping is allowed, but players can not double keybind. For example, they have to use 1 keybind (Space-bar or whatever they normally like) to jump out of a window instead of double keybinding (Shift + Space bar) to jump out of a window faster.
- Players can not have any stream open nor stream chat.
